Travel Insurance.
The Policy indemnifies against loss sustained during the course of a journey outside the United Arab Emirates as detailed under the following sections:
Section A - Medical & Emergency Expenses
This Section reimburses towards expenses necessarily incurred for medical, surgical, diagnostic or remedial treatment or other incidental expenses as a result of sickness or accidental bodily injury in the course of an insured journey up to the policy limit.
Section B - Cancellation and Curtailment
This Section reimburses towards all irrecoverable deposits, advance payments and other charges paid or due to be paid for travel and/or accommodation up to the policy limit in the event of the insured journey being necessarily cancelled or curtailed as a result of specified contingencies.
Section C - Delayed Departure and Hijack
- Delayed Departure This Section indemnifies in the event of transport services booked to travel being delayed more than 12 hours due to named perils up to the policy limit.
- Hijacking This Section indemnifies in the event of means of transportation being hijacked during the insured journey up to the policy limit.
Section D - Personal Accident
This Section indemnifies in the event of bodily injury by accidental, visible and violent means in the course of the insured journey which results in:
- Death
- Loss of eye
- Loss of limb
- Permanent total disablement
Section E - Baggage and /or Personal Effects
This Section reimburses in the event of loss of or damage to Baggage and/or Personal Effects whilst on the insured journey up to the policy limit.
This Section also reimburses in the event of Baggage and/or Personal Effects be temporarily deprived for a period in excess of 12 hours up to the policy limit towards necessary emergency purchases.
Section F - Money Insurance
This Section reimburses in the event of loss of coins, bank or currency notes, cheques, postal orders, travelers cheques, travel tickets, passports, driving licences, green card or petrol coupons whilst on the insured journey or during the 72 hours immediately prior to the commencement of the journey up to the policy limit.
